TCU News Now-Producer

In my Advanced News Production class, I was given the opportunity to produce my own show. In the show we talked about spring fashion, increase on SGA fees, and why President Trump wants to get rid of the penny. 

Daily Update-Producer

Besides producing a show, I also produced the News Now Daily Update, a short news segment in which we talk about any news that is happening in the world or on TCU campus. In this segement, Lilly Pool talks about Trump's reaction to war plans being released as a journalist was added to the war plan group chat, attacks on Tesla vehicles, and naming a squirrel on TCU Campus.

KTCU celebrates 60 years on the dial

Around 60 years ago, pursuing a career in radio was not widely encouraged; however, starting in 1948, the popularity of radio as a major began to rise significantly.
KTCU started as a little club called “The TCU Radio Club” and was renamed “Radio Players” in 1929. About 19 years later, faculty in the Department of Speech and Drama approved students getting a degree in radio, leading to the establishment of KTCU.
